How to decide the HS Code

This time I will share a few tips on how to use HS Code.

HS Code itself is a unique code that has been agreed between countries and refers to specifications, materials, functions and forms of goods that we will import and export.

HS Code consists of 10 unique numbers. We take the example for HS Code 8536.10.1900

Here is the explanation :

1.       Notice the first 4 (four) numbers are general descriptions of items. 8536 = Electrical apparatus for moving or protecting electrical circuits, or for making connections to or on electrical circuits (for example, switches, relays, fuses, voltage boosters, sockets, sockets, lamp handles and other connectors, connecting boxes), for voltages not exceed 1,000 volts; connectors for optical fibers, bundles or fiber optic cables.
2.       Pay attention to 2 (two) numbers after the first 4 (four) numbers. 8536.10 = Fuses
3.       Pay attention to 2 (two) or 4 (four) last digits. 8536.10.19.00 = Others From one HS Code it can be concluded that for items that resemble the description of HS Code above can be categorized in HS Code 8536.10.19.00
